Vistoso Community Church in Tucson, AZ is searching for a pastoral candidate with teaching gifts as well as proven leadership and management skills to be our associate pastor. Our short term goal is to extend the ministry of our current senior/teaching pastor for a few more years. For this reason, the associate pastor who joins us will have plenty of opportunity to both lead across a wide spectrum of ministry and refine their teaching skills.
VCC is an independent Bible church which has chosen to place a premium on the teaching of the Word, traditional worship, fellowship and the support of missions. To succinctly describe our theology, we are grace oriented rather than lordship or reformed. We are fully engaged in discipleship and church directed missions. We are striving to improve in the area of personal evangelism.
We are located in close proximity to a retirement community so naturally we have an older congregation. We do not have youth programs, but do have other advantages in having such a clearly defined and needy field of harvest. We gather between 220 and 350 for worship (the range is related to the time of year), and have been growing for some time.
Compensation is to be based upon experience and the desired scope of the benefit package.
