Overview
Job Title: IT Services Supervisor
Department: IT
Reports to: IT Services Director
Status/FLSA: Full-Time/Exempt
Location: Golder Ranch Fire District, Oro Valley, AZ 85737
Salary: Starting annual salary $82,756.41 - $90,112.54 plus benefits; salary dependent on qualifications, experience, and skillset.
Responsibilities- Leads and supervises IT personnel in day-to-day operations, including assigning work, establishing priorities, monitoring workload, and ensuring quality and efficiency of services and support.
- Develops and evaluates assigned personnel through performance management, coaching, mentorship, succession planning, and professional development initiatives.
- Collaborates with the IT Director and serves as a liaison between the IT Department and other departments to promote effective communication, collaboration, and customer service.
- Provide on-call support during non-business hours.
- Ensure technical priorities and established procedures are properly executed to meet organizational needs.
- Supervise staff by planning activities, workload, and projects; support staff through training and performance management.
- Provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex hardware, software, network, telecommunications, and system-related issues.
- Ensure reliability, security, and availability of local and wide area networks, telecommunications, wireless infrastructure, and related systems.
- Oversee backups and disaster recovery processes to support continuity of operations and recovery objectives.
- Maintain timely, professional responses to technical support requests and service interruptions.
- Assist with developing, coordinating, prioritizing, and managing projects, resource allocation, and operational initiatives.
- Maintain documentation related to network configuration, licensing, change management, and system performance.
- Manage technology-related contracts to ensure project compliance.
- Support forecasting, evaluating, and recommending technology solutions and infrastructure improvements.
- Develop, coordinate, or facilitate technology training and end-user support as needed.
- Pursue continuing education and technical training to maintain current knowledge of industry standards, cybersecurity practices, and operational needs.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field from an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Minimum of four (4) years of increasingly responsible IT experience.
- Minimum of two (2) years of leadership or supervisory experience in IT.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
- Public safety and/or public sector work experience.
- Wireless microwave experience.
- Active Directory administration for Windows.
- CompTIA Security+
- CompTIA Network+
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
- Repeating motions involving wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Verbal and electronic communication to exchange information while completing tasks.
- Mobility and ability to work in various environments, including tight or confined spaces.
- Staying in a stationary position for prolonged periods as needed.
- Business hours:
Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm. - On-call rotation; in-person position.
