Spanish Instructor

La Posada at Pusch Ridge is seeking a passionate and dependable Spanish Instructor to teach classes on our campus to interested residents. Responsibilities include teaching both oral and written Spanish, developing and tailoring lesson plans for beginner-level classes, and potentially introducing multi‑level classes as interest and skill levels grow.

• Frequency: 2/week
• Days/times to be determined
• $45.00/hour class

• Developing lesson plans and curricula based on a variety of levels and backgrounds.
• Providing conversational classes that emphasize pronunciation and key words and phrases.
• Teaching writing and Spanish composition classes within the framework of the class.
• Familiarity with teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
• Ability to maintain class communication through email group(s).
• Teaching students about Spanish culture, which may include festivals, traditional food, dress, and social conventions.
• Organizing fun events where students can showcase their Spanish language skills.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Spanish language, literature, or an equivalent may be required.
• Near native fluency.
• A teaching certificate or license may be required.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Well‑organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Detail‑oriented and resilient.
