The Role
Under the direct supervision of the Environmental Services (EVS) Director, you will perform a variety of cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness, safety, and order throughout all areas of La Posada at Pusch Ridge.
Essential Functions- Perform routine and specialized cleaning in residences, healthcare buildings, guest rooms, dining rooms, meeting rooms, nurses’ stations, clinical areas, offices, restrooms, lobbies, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
- Take appropriate actions to correct areas that do not meet defined standards.
- Clean, sanitize, and disinfect surfaces using approved agents and procedures.
- Empty wastebaskets, replace liners, and transport trash to designated disposal areas.
- Dust, wipe, and polish furniture, decorative items, and surface areas, including high dusting and window blinds.
- Clean and polish glass, windows, mirrors, and other assigned items.
- Make beds according to standard procedures when included in assigned areas.
- Swamp, mop, scrub floors using brooms, mops, or powered vacuum machines.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaners.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork; wax and polish as necessary.
- Use only approved cleaning agents, chemicals, equipment, and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service to residents, clients, staff, and the public.
- Move and arrange furniture in an orderly fashion as needed.
- Remove or re‑hang cubicle curtains as required.
- Participate in product evaluation and other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
- Replenish supplies when applicable.
- Keep Environmental Services closets and housekeeping carts well‑stocked, clean, and tidy.
- Maintain age‑specific safety precautions (e.g., no small or sharp objects left out, keep hallways clear of debris).
