FUNCTION:
Provide residents/guests with prompt, courteous, efficient service, verifying membership status, signing in residents/guests, checking out respective supplies and equipment. Advise patrons of rules and regulations and perform light custodial duties.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Employee is required to follow any instructions and perform any other duties as requested by supervisor.)
Full time monitors will have 5 days worked per week, adding up to 40 hours per week.
Part time monitors will have 3 – 4 days worked per week, not exceeding 30 hours per week.
- l. Exhibit courtesy to all residents and guests.
- 2. Will be required to work at any of the five facilities, i.e. Activities Center, Aquatic and Fitness Center, Catalina Vista, Welcome Center or Desert Oasis.
- 3. Custodial work entailing sweeping and vacuuming of floors, mopping, dusting, restocking of restrooms, maintaining cleanliness of building, including but not limited to kitchens and bathrooms, supplies and other custodial duties as assigned or required.
- 4. Lock and unlock facility doors as directed.
- 5. Check out equipment for specified activity by recording member name, membership number, and obtaining signature.
- 6. Police the outdoor area around facilities to remove debris and litter, etc. also emptying ashtrays and trash cans as needed.
- 7. Advise residents/guests of rules and regulations and as needed, be prepared to enforce these rules and regulations.
- 8. Attend required training sessions and scheduled meetings.
- 9. Provide up to date data regarding scheduled functions.
- 10. Specific duties and responsibilities that pertain to the facility you are working:
- 11. Must have the ability to learn AV and Sound System.
- a. Setup meeting rooms, auditorium, outside patio, outside courtyard and designated areas for various functions, events and meetings in a proper and timely manner. This includes moving tables, chairs, organ and/or piano, and equipment to and from storage areas and other meeting rooms. Provide for other requests as per setup orders.
- b. Review activities calendar and contact Lifestyles Coordinator to review setups needed during shift. Read setup orders carefully for details and follow each instruction noted on the form.
- c. Tear down setups, i.e. chairs, tables, equipment, and store in designated areas. Load dirty dishes into dishwasher, wipe off tables, and clean kitchen area if needed.
- d. Maintain constant contact with Lifestyles Coordinator to assure adequate room setups for various functions, additions to or cancellations from calendar.
- e. Answer telephone and direct calls as directed.
- a. Operate audio/visual equipment for functions, meetings or events, as directed.
- a. Must check membership cards for validity and currency, and validate guest participation by punching resident membership card, and/or validating resident sponsor for Guest Card.
- a. Assist maintenance/custodial personnel in cleaning and maintaining the swimming pool and/or spa.
- a. Monitor facilities including meeting room, swimming pool, locker/shower facilities, tennis and basketball courts.
- b. Take reservations for use of the Tennis Courts, as directed by Club.
