Parker Meggitt (Securaplane) is a recent addition to Parker Hannifin, a global leader in the Commercial and Military Aerospace markets, specializing in a wide range of products including fire and smoke detection systems, extinguishing systems, bleed air overheat detection systems, actuators, rudder pedal assemblies, pumps, fuel gauging systems, and high-temperature cables. Located in Oro Valley, AZ, this site is within the Fire Safety & Power Systems Division (FSPSD) and is a key supplier of camera systems, energy storage products, and security systems in aerospace markets.
We work directly with some of the largest aerospace companies in the world, including Airbus, Boeing, Gulfstream, Bombardier, Embraer, and Textron.
The Quality Inspector 2 position directly supports the Production Departments through incoming inspection of purchased components and final inspection of finished assemblies and components.

- Conduct inspections of products, materials and components at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with established quality standards
- Participate in gathering statistical data from product and processes
- Perform visual inspections of soldered connections, mechanical inspections of electronic and electro‑mechanical assemblies and subassemblies
- Visual inspections of soldered assemblies to IPC‑A‑610 standards, and harness assemblies
- Prepare and complete all necessary documentation for reporting acceptance/rejection of inspected and/or tested items
- Identify design, process or other inefficiencies and report quality concerns and issues
- Maintain inspection records
- Create and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in accordance with AS9102
- Perform customer source inspection
- Issue authorized release certificates/tags
- Maintain calibration recall and records
- Prepare certifications in accordance with appropriate regulation
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record; regular, consistent and punctual attendance is required. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and additional hours as necessary
- Be able and willing to comply with Drug‑Free Workplace policies and pass all related drug/alcohol screenings as required

- Minimal heavy lifting from floor or higher, bending, twisting, climbing, lifting arms above shoulders, kneeling
- Minimal exposure to excessive noise, hazardous chemicals, hazardous equipment, uneven walking surfaces
- Typing with computer and keyboard
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Certifications:
Vocational training, apprenticeships or the equivalent experience in related field beneficial.
