Become a Key Player as a FAA Quality Inspector 2
You will ensure product and component quality for the production organization by performing inspections, documentation, and regulatory reporting. You will work onsite on the 1st shift and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to support incoming and final inspections and customer source inspections.
Here's How You'll Make an Impact on the Team- Conduct inspections of products, materials, and components at various production stages to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Perform visual and mechanical inspections of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies, including soldered connections to IPC-A-610 standards and harness assemblies
- Create and review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) IAW AS9102 and complete required certifications and Authorized Release Certificates/Tags
- Prepare and maintain inspection records, calibration recall, and related documentation for acceptance/rejection of items
- Gather and report statistical data from products and processes and identify/report design or process inefficiencies
- Perform customer source inspections and other assigned quality responsibilities
- Maintain acceptable attendance and comply with drug-free workplace policies, including FAA drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience; experience in aerospace and electronics environments preferred
- Ability to follow job instructions and procedures with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, assembly drawings, parts lists, workmanship standards, and wiring diagrams
- Technical knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102)
- Skilled using measuring equipment and proficient computer skills
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, charts, diagrams, and sketches
- Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs and perform typical inspection physical tasks
- Vocational training, apprenticeships, or equivalent technical training/certification
- Prior experience specifically with FAIRS or other regulatory inspection requirements
$19.20 - $24.00/hour
