Position Summary

As a member of the healthcare team, you serve as a physician providing pediatric care services at FRTH clinics in accordance with approved standardized procedures and protocols. Provides comprehensive medical services for infants, children, and adolescents. Performs diagnostic services which include securing medical histories, conducting physical examinations, interpreting laboratory and x-ray results to define health problems and ascertain therapy required. Your expertise and dedication will contribute to the health and well-being of the community’s youngest members.

Functions
  • Provides pediatric health care under standardized protocols in accordance with provisions of the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance.
  • Provides the highest quality of care utilizing the resources of the organization in the most prudent manner.
  • Assists the Medical Director and Chief Executive Officer in developing level of care standards to be used as a quality-of-service measurement and that will enable the organization to meet external accrediting requirements (e.g. AAAHC).
  • Cooperates and helps establish and maintain understanding and cooperation with local organizations toward effective community health.
  • Serves as a physician by performing duties which may include examining patients for symptoms or physical information including growth and development assessments, to diagnose and treat various pediatric conditions; ordering or executing various tests, analyses diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition.
  • Provide preventive care, vaccinations, and immunizations to promote overall health and prevent illness.
  • Conduct screenings for developmental delays, behavioral issues, and mental health concerns, and providing appropriate referrals and interventions.
  • Evaluating and managing acute and chronic illness, injuries, and infections in pediatric patients.
  • Analyzes reports and findings of test and examinations and diagnoses conditions.
  • Administers or prescribes treatments and medication for patients.
  • Refers patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment.
  • Reports births, deaths, and outbreaks of contagious diseases to governmental authorities.
