Built on a curriculum designed to meet current market demands, the program offers degrees and certificates that develop competencies in areas such as business administration, management, marketing, small business/entrepreneurship, project management, and related fields.
Students benefit from industry-informed instruction that integrates theory with real-world applications, equipping them with the strategic thinking, communication, teamwork, and analytical skills necessary to operate effectively in today's dynamic business environment.
The department houses multiple degree and certificate options that support both career entry and academic transfer. These include the Associate in Science (AS) and Associate in Science for Transfer (AS-T) in Business Administration, as well as AS degrees and certificates in Business Management, Marketing, Small Business/Entrepreneurship, Human Resources, Business on the Web, and other specialized business areas. These credentials cater to students seeking employment in private, public, or nonprofit sectors, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs, and those preparing for upper-division university programs.
In addition to traditional business pathways, students can access flexible options for working professionals, including evening and online coursework that supports degree completion while balancing work and life commitments.
