- FULL ON‑SITE POSITION BASED OUT OF NLC’s OROVILLE, CA CAMPUS
- MUST RESIDE WITHIN A 60-MILE RADIUS TO CAMPUS LOCATION

- Conduct field and classroom training.
- Prepare for knowledge and skill delivery each term in a proactive manner.
- Maintain updated and current knowledge on all programs and catalogs.
- Identify short falls and provide solutions ensuring the campus is always ready to deliver training.
- Work with department leadership to identify and resolve areas of improvement and set professional goals.
- Identify and recommend innovative approaches to training sessions, such as new materials, methodologies, and activities to enhance the learning experience of our students.
- Encourage and inspire students and co-workers while contributing to a work environment that promotes teamwork and respect.
- Represent a “What’s best for the student?” mindset.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Journeyman lineman (certificate of completion of formalized apprenticeship program required).
- Good driving record (must be insurable).
- Passion for training with ability to effectively train others in a classroom and field environment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required NLC certifications (climbing, CPR, First Aid).
- Proficiency in all programs and course competencies.
- Knowledge of and/or certifications in regulations applying to craft trades (OSHA, NECS, etc.)
- Body weight must not exceed 265 pounds to stay compliant with OSHA fall protection requirements.
- Personal mobility, manual dexterity, flexibility, and balance to work in a classroom or field setting, stand or sit for extended periods of time, bend and reach to move items weighing up to 65 pounds.
- Physically capable of repeatedly performing all job functions associated with their craft.
- Stamina to work in an outdoor environment with exposure to adverse weather conditions and noise.
- Proficient in the use of computers with ability to easily learn and navigate new software.
- Commitment to advance through all levels of NLC’s Professional Technical Educator (PTE) progression program.
- $168,747 annual salary ($81.13 hourly equivalent), with opportunity for growth in our Professional Technical Educator (PTE) progression program.
