Associate Faculty Vacancies
Selected candidates must reside in California. Placement on the salary schedule is dependent upon education and/or experience. Initial salary placement for instructors in the non-vocational areas will be established according to degrees and accumulated units. Initial salary placement for vocational instructors will be based on a combination of education and work-related experience. Associate Faculty Vacancies Disciplines that are actively being recruited for now are listed below.
For all other associate faculty positions, such as non-instructional associate faculty positions, please refer to the job descriptions on the Part-time Faculty Association represents part-time Associate Faculty (PFA) Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) (Pages 73-93). Applications for all other disciplines will be kept on file, and depending on departmental need, will be forwarded to the appropriate department chair upon their request.

Associate Faculty Applications will remain active for one (1) year from the submission date, and after a year a new application will be required to ensure continued interest in teaching opportunities. This application pool is a passive pool intended to identify qualified applicants interested in teaching on a part-time, temporary, semester-by-semester basis. You must identify the discipline(s) in which you're seeking to be minimally qualified for on the application.
Associate Faculty may teach no more than a maximum load of 33.5% per primary term.
The following duties are representative of the duties normally required of a part-time Butte College instructor. Certain duties are common to the everyday operational needs of the College while other activities may be required on an as needed basis. All of the duties, however, are common requirements at various times for full-time instructional positions. The associate instructional faculty member is responsible for the following:

- Equivalency for applicants with no degree or a degree without a general education component, .
- For vocational areas (disciplines requiring professional experience as a minimum qualification), work experience letters will be required with your application (refer to Required Attachments below).
