The Director of General Services is a senior executive leadership role responsible for overseeing a complex, multi-functional department that delivers critical support services across the County. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer and operating under the policy direction of the Board of Supervisors, the Director provides strategic, operational, and administrative leadership to ensure County departments receive high-quality, efficient, and responsive services.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned public-sector executive and collaborative leader with a proven record of directing complex, multi-disciplinary organizations that support countywide operations. This individual brings sound judgment, strategic vision, and operational discipline to the oversight of General Services functions, ensuring high-quality, cost-effective service delivery aligned with Board of Supervisors’ policy direction and the Chief Administrative Officer’s administrative leadership.
