This is a temporary position devoted specifically to serve our special grants at least through June
30,2027 (FY26/27). However, there may be an opportunity for continuation or transition to a permanent position with Alliance for Workforce Development, Inc. (AFWD).

17–24) and others, through career guidance, training support, and employment services in the America’s Job Center of California (AJCC) system.

Under the direction of the Youth Program Manager, the incumbent will support the team in a variety of components of the WIOA program. In compliance with Federal, State, and Local rules, regulations and guidelines, the incumbent will provide eligibility screening for various Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) programs, and assure all verification and documentation is accurate, complete and retained in accordance with program requirements, while providing guidance to youth (17‑24 years old) and adults towards a career pathway.

The position requires travel throughout AFWD’s service area.

The Youth Career Center Advisor’s immediate supervisor is the Youth Program, who is responsible for WIOA and other job seeker program(s) throughout AFWD’s service area. The Youth Program Manager’s immediate supervisor is the Deputy Director. The Youth Program Manager will provide direction, supervise the quality of work, manage the quantity of work, and provide training and evaluation of the incumbent’s position responsibilities.

The Youth Program Manager will provide the annual appraisal on the incumbent’s performance.
