What You Will Do:

• Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
• Build and maintain relationships with clients
• Compile bid opportunities and job information
• Review plans, specifications, and communicate directly with clients to assess job specifics
• Perform detailed plan and quantity take-offs
• Coordinate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors
• Determine production rates and crew requirements
• Build cost estimates for each project that affect company revenue
• Prepare professional and detailed proposals to present to the client
• Hand off successful projects and communicate details to project supervisor

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to learn

Skills Preferred:

• 3+ years construction estimating experience
• Prior experience in asphalt or concrete paving
• Plan reading experience or classes
• Understanding of site grading, slope, and water runoff
• Experience with takeoff and/or estimating software
