Principal
Department:

Students and various certificated, certified and paraprofessional personnel
Job Goal:
To serve as an effective instructional and managerial leader of the school.
Performance Responsibilities
* Works with staff, students, and community to ensure a high-quality educational program.
* Formulates and accomplishes the school mission.
* Provides leadership for an environment of high expectations for staff and students.
* Provides effective leadership in planning developing, implementing and evaluating the instructional program.
* Interprets and enforces federal and state laws and state and local board policies.
* Assists in the recruiting, screening, selecting, and assigning of the school's certified and support staff.
* Assists in securing, maintaining, and managing material resources.
* Prepares and administers the school budget and supervises school finances.
* Assumes responsibility for scheduling.
* Ensures students receive appropriate placement and services.
* Plans and accomplishes personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics.
* Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
* Demonstrates knowledge of school accounting and student management program used to report to the SDE and local board.
* Provides professional opportunities for staff.
* Communicates and clarifies the school's mission to students, staff, and community.
* Provides a safe, orderly environment that facilitates teaching and learning.
* Provides a climate of high expectation for staff and students.
* Supervises, observes, and evaluates teachers and staff.
* Performs additional duties as required.
Minimum Requirements:
* Master's Degree in Educational Administration
* Minimum 3 years experience
* Experience in School Administration
* Relevant State Certification
SALARY RANGE:
Salary at appropriate step and rank on approved salary schedule ranging from $67,678.71 - $93,850 plus any applicable supplement that may apply.
