As a Mechanical Designer-Drafter with Moog Inc., you'll be part of a product engineering design and development team working closely with engineers to develop their thoughts and sketches into layouts, drawings and schematics. Here's what you can expect as a Mechanical Designer-Drafter at Moog:

• Contribute to a cost effective design and functional products. Insure basic integrity of designs and layouts.

• Review tolerances for impact on fits, design requirements, and effects on costs.

• Act as a focal point for projects as they progress from concept to release.

• Create drawings and 3D models from varying levels of instruction or input

To take on this role, you'll need:

• Associate's Degree, preferably with technical focus.
• 3 years of related experience including 3D modeling and drawing experience (preferably NX)
• Comprehensive knowledge of good drafting practices and techniques, machine shop practices, part fabrication methods, mathematics through descriptive geometry, dimensioning techniques, and geometric tolerancing.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to be flexible with job duties transitioning from parts coordination to drawing and modeling.
• Able to tolerate ambiguity and work with limited direction.
