Responsibilities Factory Service Training
  • Develop and maintain in‑depth technical training curriculum (e.g., PowerPoint presentation, video, lab exercises, and written content).
  • Train dealer technicians through service training events, video presentations, and web‑based learning.
  • Conduct training sessions for Ventrac international distributors; interpreter may be required.
  • Develop training material for customer clinics that is relevant and understandable for end users.
  • Report on training program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
Factory Sales Training
  • Deliver sales training content to satisfy business needs and close all knowledge, skill, and competency gaps, ensuring compliance with safe operation of Ventrac equipment.
  • Present and lead training sessions for large groups in classrooms, labs, and hands‑on settings at VPI Bridgeway Training Center.
New Dealer Training (In‑person & Online)
  • Provide in‑depth technical explanation of Ventrac systems, including troubleshooting basics, critical repair procedures, and proper maintenance practices for dealer service teams.
Field Sales & Technical Support
  • Build and maintain a good rapport with dealership sales and service personnel (domestic and international).
  • Address product concerns or failure trends with the Service department and other departments as needed.
  • Attend Ventrac trade shows to support sales efforts and answer technical questions from customers.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience in public speaking and/or teaching in a classroom environment.
  • Minimum 2+ years’ experience troubleshooting and working with hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain composure and communicate effectively with unhappy customers.
  • Team player who accepts feedback and makes necessary changes.
  • Excellent computer and keyboarding skills (Microsoft Office, Internet).
  • Strong interpersonal skills—professional, courteous, friendly, and helpful.
  • Self‑motivated with excellent project, time‑management, and organization skills.
  • Physical ability to sit, stand, bend, kneel, or lay down; lift up to 45 lbs.; up to 50% travel.
  • Must have, or be able to gain, a Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years’ experience training technicians on the repair and service of agricultural, automotive or commercial turf equipment.
  • 5+ years’ experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial turf equipment (small gasoline and diesel engines, hydraulic system, 12‑volt electrical).
  • 2+ years of certified training in ag/diesel or sports/commercial turf equipment repair.
  • Prior experience in technical customer service.
  • Prior experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing Ventrac equipment.
