Quality Control Manufacturing Inspector - 1st Shift

Job Overview

Quality Control Manufacturing Inspector – 1st Shift. Reporting to Manager, QA Control.

Work Schedule:

Onsite – Orrville, OH.

• Provide floor support across multiple machining cells.
• Perform first‑piece inspections and verify operator measurements.
• Conduct hands‑on measurement using micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Ensure CMM machines are clean, calibrated, and running properly (CMM operation training available).
• Assist operators with technical questions, measurement techniques, and inspection guidelines.
• Perform final inspections, including reviewing documentation, sampling measurements, and completing sign‑offs.
• Document and issue non‑conformances using internal quality software.
• Review batch paperwork and routers for accuracy and completeness.
• Support receiving inspection activities.
• Assist with calibration and maintenance of equipment.
• Participate in cross‑functional troubleshooting and problem‑solving.

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Five years of related quality experience in a machining‑related manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of machining processes and quality systems.
• Accessible to U.S. export‑controlled information.
