Responsibilities
  • Understand and model the Company’s Basic Beliefs and Our Commitment to Each Other
  • Use team scorecard and other Operational Excellence documents to identify and track team gaps
  • Plan, execute, and track activities to eliminate gaps and develop team capabilities
  • Provide feedback regularly to team members on performance
  • Hold team accountable for team results
  • Provide backup/coverage support for team members
  • Safely operate, clean and maintain all equipment in the production area
  • Perform all CIL activities in the production area
  • Safely and reliably handle minor stops, quality issues, breakdowns and routine maintenance activities
  • Be willing to train as a First Responder for plant and use training as needed
  • Attend production and maintenance scheduling meetings, provide input and function as point of contact for production schedule deviations
  • Able to work outside normally scheduled hours as needed for shift overlap, maintenance, etc.
  • Able to meet all essential functions associated with pay level
  • Follow flow to the work as necessary to meet department and plant needs
  • Operate within all Operational Excellence principles
  • Qualify on all necessary step‑up cards – Full operational, basic maintenance, routine maintenance, leadership
Qualifications Education
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Experience
  • Preferred: previous work experience in a food manufacturing or industrial environment
Other Requirements
  • Good attendance record and adherence to attendance policy
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to work an 8‑hour shift on a 7‑day schedule per week
  • Comfortable working with and around cleaning chemicals and performing sanitation duties
  • Capability to perform basic and routine maintenance, including climbing, standing, bending, twisting, moving on stairs, ladders, platforms, and various packaging and processing equipment
  • Ability to lift objects up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Self‑directed worker, capable of working in a team environment to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Proficiency in reading, comprehending, interpreting, recording, and applying information from documents such as equipment manuals, SOPs, policies, etc.
  • Requirement: pass an applied math and a technical aptitude test
