- Install and set up various types of instrumentation, including pressure ports, temperature sensors, displacement sensors, and speed sensors, as well as the Somat eDAQ data acquisition system.
- Operate test machines in accordance with internal standard test procedures and applicable external standards, ensuring safe and compliant operation at all times.
- Communicate and accurately record any machine issues encountered during build, setup, and testing activities.
- Support continuous improvement activities within the Test and Development process by providing feedback and assisting with implementation of new methods or tools.
- Perform tests on systems and components to verify proper performance, with emphasis on hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems external to the power unit.
- Troubleshoot systems, perform basic failure analysis, and follow detailed test procedures to identify root causes and document findings.
- Fabricate test fixtures as needed, including determining appropriate instrumentation, test sequences, and test procedures.
- Routinely work with the EDAQ data acquisition system to collect, monitor, and review test data.

- Proficiency with MS Office or similar software for documentation, data entry, and report writing.
- Strong written documentation skills to record test procedures, results, and issues clearly and professionally.
- High school diploma or GED.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting complete systems such as hydraulic pumps, cooling systems, and related subsystems.
- Prior experience with data acquisition systems or similar testing tools and software.
- Hands-on experience with moving equipment such as farm machinery, forklifts, heavy construction equipment, or military equipment.
- Associate degree or trade school training in electrical technology, mechanical systems, or a related technical field.
- Experience setting up test rigs and fixtures, including defining test sequences and procedures.
- Electronic testing and troubleshooting experience in an industrial or equipment-testing environment.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A, even though driving off site is not required.
