Job DescriptionThis position pays $17.13 - $25 an hour with opportunities to earn bonuses each period. Qualifying full‑time employees will receive paid sick leave per WA State law and be offered employer‑sponsored medical benefits. Responsibilities- Operate all equipment and stock ingredients from the delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product and maintain a clean kitchen and facility, cleaning equipment and the surrounding areas approximately daily.
- Receive and process telephone and in‑person orders, accurately taking inventory and completing associated paperwork.
- Handle cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations while setting a high example for crew members.
- Maintain staffing, scheduling, attendance, punctuality, transportation to/from work, store cleanliness, marketing, and overall profitability.
- Adhere to all policy and procedures 100% of the time and enforce the same standards for the crew.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (calculator may be used).
- Proficiency in making correct monetary change.
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone skills to process orders.
- Strong motor coordination between eyes, hands, and fingers to perform rapid, accurate, and precise movements with speed.
- Computer typing or touch‑screen proficiency for order entry.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, and reach in various work environments, including handling bulk product deliveries up to 50 pounds.
- Experience or ability to operate kitchen equipment and perform food preparation tasks.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers and co‑workers.
- Understanding of safety and hygiene practices in a food‑service environment.
- Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, carrying, pushing, and using hand‑tools.
- Suitable vision, hearing, and generally good physical health to meet daily job demands.
The role requires frequent standing and walking on tiled or linoleum surfaces, occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds, and repetitive reaching, bending, and stacking activities. Employees must be comfortable working in varying temperatures, with exposure to heat from ovens and the outdoors, and able to handle potential hazards such as cornmeal dust and moving mechanical parts.
