We are currently looking for a Substation Construction Site Safety Manager for a solar project located in Northeast Arkansas, just outside of Osceola, AR
.

The position pays $45–$50 per hour, depending on experience
, with an average workweek of approximately 50 hours
. The project is expected to continue through mid-2028
, making this a great long-term opportunity.

Salary + $178/ Day per Diem (7 Days) + Overtime + Travel Expenses + Cell Phone Allowance

Site Safety Manager

Key Responsibilities &

Qualifications:

  • Lead and participate in daily safety meetings, including reviewing findings with subcontractors and developing corrective actions.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of general and heavy construction safety practices from groundbreaking through final project turnover.
  • Oversee the safe operation of heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks, forklifts, cranes, and other related machinery.
  • Have a strong understanding of trenching and excavation safety, with hands-on experience overseeing dirt work and excavation activities.
  • Oversee safety procedures for rebar installation and concrete placement.
  • Enforce safety standards related to hot work, welding, CAD welding, and EPZ matting installation.
  • Oversee limestone placement in congested work areas while maintaining safe work practices.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of crane and rigging safety, including setting structural steel for substations and installing large substation components.
  • Experience with the installation of Trenwa systems
    .
  • Have a solid understanding of substation construction, with basic knowledge of testing and commissioning. Experience with solar collector stations is a plus, as this is a solar farm substation project.
  • Maintain strong communication and relationships with the client, particularly regarding jobsite safety performance and expectations.
  • Experience with greenfield transmission line installations
    .
