Job Goal

To develop student leaders of character by providing high‑quality instruction in leadership education, citizenship, physical fitness, and personal responsibility, ensuring students reach their full academic and personal potential.

School Principal and designated district administrator, with coordination through appropriate JROTC military leadership channels.

Plan, organize, and deliver a dynamic JROTC program that fosters leadership, discipline, citizenship, and academic success in a structured and supportive learning environment.

• Teach JROTC curriculum in accordance with national program guidelines, including leadership, citizenship, history, wellness, and military customs, integrated with academic standards.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and promote leadership development, teamwork, and critical thinking.
• Conduct classroom instruction, drill and ceremony, physical training, and extracurricular activities such as color guard, competitions, and community service projects.
• Utilize technology and instructional tools to enhance learning and cadet engagement.
• Maintain accountability and proper care of all government- and district-issued equipment, uniforms, and supplies.
• Establish and enforce standards of conduct, discipline, and professionalism consistent with JROTC expectations.
• Create a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment both in the classroom and during all program activities.
• Monitor and evaluate cadet progress in leadership skills, academic performance, and personal development; maintain accurate records and reports.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding cadet progress and program expectations.
• Collaborate with school staff, administration, and community partners to support student success and program initiatives.
• Organize and supervise extracurricular events, including drills, inspections, ceremonies, and field trips.
• Adhere to district policies, military program requirements, and professional standards, including attendance and evaluations.
• Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all school and community interactions.
• Maintain positive working relationships with students, parents, staff, administration, and community stakeholders.
• Support recruitment, retention, and overall growth of the JROTC program.
• Be flexible in assignments, including potential changes in classroom, duties, or campus location as needed.

• Serve as a role model for leadership, respect, and civic responsibility.
• Promote teamwork, self‑discipline, and pride in achievement.
• Encourage participation in community service and school activities.
