Ambient Field Technician

Job Overview

A part‑time Ambient Field Technician position pensation $25–$30 per hour. The role involves collecting data outdoors, operating ambient air monitoring equipment, and maintaining safety and equipment integrity.

• Assist in preparation, deployment, and sampling of air monitoring activities.
• Independently assemble, operate, and troubleshoot ambient air testing equipment.
• Ensure full project preparation before field work (cleaning, repair, calibration).
• Practice safety methods and report hazards to supervisor.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
• Assist with laboratory, shop, and equipment maintenance.

• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• Ability to work in industrial settings and outdoors.
• High school diploma up to bachelor's degree.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment with strong time‑management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Pass background check and drug screen.
• Comfortable working outdoors in hot, cold and extreme weather conditions.
