Job Summary

The Diagnostic Imaging & Heart Care Manager provides clinical, operational, and strategic leadership for the Imaging and Heart Care departments, ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care while achieving organizational, financial, and performance goals. This role is responsible for leading people, optimizing workflows, managing resources, ensuring regulatory and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement across both service areas. The manager partners with physicians, clinical teams, and organizational leaders to strengthen services, improve the patient experience, develop staff, and support the ongoing growth and success of Diagnostic Imaging and Heart Care.

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited radiology program from an accredited college or university, required.
Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a technologist, with two (2) years of supervisory experience, preferred.
Certification and registration in an applicable clinical discipline, such as ARRT, ARDMS, CNMT, or other appropriate professional credential, required.
Demonstrated leadership experience in diagnostic imaging, cardiovascular services, or a related healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include Leadership and Management

Supervise and lead Imaging and Heart Care staff, including technologists, clinical staff, and support personnel, while collaborating closely with radiologists, cardiologists, and other medical staff.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale.
Develop staff competencies and cross-training opportunities to support departmental flexibility and operational resilience.
Address performance and employee relations concerns promptly and in accordance with organizational policies.

Operational Oversight

Manage daily operations of the Imaging and Heart Care departments, ensuring efficient workflow and patient scheduling.
Monitor patient access, throughput, turnaround times, staffing, productivity, and other key operational performance indicators.
Monitor and oversee the readiness, safety, utilization, and lifecycle management of imaging and cardiac diagnostic equipment.
Implement policies and procedures to enhance service delivery and patient experience.
Ensure departmental workflows are standardized, efficient, and aligned with evidence-based practice and organizational expectations.
