Roll Maintenance Technician

Technician

A Technician completes the daily tasks that are associated with working in a roll shop such as housekeeping, chocking/dechocking rolls, grinding rolls, and overhead crane rigging and movement.

• Maintain housekeeping in Area Of Responsibility (A.O.R)
• Maintain acceptable attendance
• Willingness to learn new tasks/jobs
• Be self-motivated when not given a specific task
• Fork truck operation
• Take direction from lead man or supervisors
• Maintain time keeping documentation
• Wear required PPE

• Education:
  
  High School/Equivalent
• Related
  
  Work Experience:
  
  Two to Three years of experience in a specific equipment function is preferred;
  No supervisory experience is required
• Certifications:
  
  Crane and forklift is preferred – in house training provided to obtain certification

This position will rotate 4 on 4 off from days to nights. It is from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. or 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.
