Overview
Position Summary...
What you'll do- Leads and develops teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads change efforts, provides clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicates business objectives to teams.
- Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model, and supports customer service initiatives (e.g., community engagement programs). Develops and implements action plans to address deficiencies and leads process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
- Drives financial performance for the designated store area by reviewing PL (Profit & Loss) statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensures merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes support sales and profit goals; develops action plans to mitigate shrink.
- Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing associates, and promoting a culture of belonging. Recruits and develops qualified associates to meet staffing needs and growth potential.
- Coordinates and oversees job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans to meet customer and business needs, identifying goals and objectives, and measuring progress toward results. Identifies improvement opportunities and promotes continuous learning.
- Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures, supports the company mission, values, ethics, and integrity by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.
- Upholds Walmart values in daily operations, fosters a culture of belonging, and acts with integrity and accountability in serving customers, associates, and communities.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46. The actual rate corresponds to minimum wage requirements by location. Additional compensation may include bonuses and location-based pay differentials where applicable.
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications — Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.
- 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
- For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements: may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications — Optional.
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
