Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site Armed Security Officer role located at Hybar’s mill in Osceola, AR. The Armed Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a secure environment across the facility, including monitoring access points, conducting patrols of buildings and grounds, and observing for safety or security concerns. Daily tasks include verifying identification and credentials, enforcing site security policies, documenting incidents, and reporting suspicious activity to supervisors or law enforcement when needed.
The role also involves responding to emergencies, supporting incident containment, and coordinating with internal teams during investigations or safety drills. Armed Security Officers are expected to follow all applicable laws, company procedures, and use sound judgment when managing risk and interacting with employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Demonstrated skills in facility security, access control, and routine patrols in an industrial or similar environment.
- Ability to assess risk, respond calmly to emergencies, and follow incident reporting and escalation procedures.
- Strong observation, situational awareness, and documentation skills, including accurate incident and shift reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams, visitors, and external responders.
- Ability to follow safety and security protocols, including adherence to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Valid authorization to carry a firearm as required by state law, with current certifications or licensing where applicable.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or safety training is beneficial.
- Capability to work on-site in an industrial setting, including standing, walking, and patrolling for extended periods.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed to support 24/7 operations.
