Job Overview

CGB Enterprises, Inc. is a grain and transportation leader founded in 1969, with over 100 locations and nearly 2,000 U.S. employees. This position contributes to grinding and weighing operations across various facilities.

• Weigh inbound and outbound trucks, record weights, and take grain samples.
• Grade grain and record grading information electronically.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with company customers.
• Participate in the company Safety Program and attend daily pre‑shift meetings.
• Perform grading tests and record data accurately.
• Direct trucks to appropriate locations and weigh out empty trucks.
• Complete documentation promptly, accurately and legibly.
• Label and store samples according to facility protocol.
• Perform general clean‑up duties such as sweeping, shoveling, washing, painting and other housekeeping responsibilities.
• Assist with ground piles, bin cleaning, rail duties, and other duties as assigned.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.
• Experience: None required. Preferred: 1 year’s experience in an industrial environment with a dependable work record.
• License/Certification: Grain grader and/or weighing certificate. Must obtain before hiring if not already held.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Working knowledge of computers and software.
  • Basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow direction, use logical thought to interpret instructions, and troubleshoot problems.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Commitment to customer service, internally and externally.

• Constant or continuous balance, bend, stoop, twist, crouch, crawl, kneel, squat, lift.
• Lift 3 lb. samples above shoulder; lift/push/pull 50 lbs. occasionally to continuously.
• Use of personal protective equipment as required; perform fit testing and PFT.
• Work in confined spaces, high dust levels, extreme weather conditions.
• Stand, walk, sit, or lift frequently; stand and walk constantly or continuously.
• Work extended hours, weekend, holidays, alternative shifts as needed.
• Communicate verbally, in person and over two‑way radio; use near, far and peripheral vision for tasks.

• Work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
• Frequent use of personal protective equipment.
• Travel 5‑20% of the time, including off‑site training and alternate locations.

$16.00 – $25.00 per hour, actual pay may vary by location, experience, and skills.
