Our client, a large and complex organization within the public sector, is seeking a detail-driven Financial Analyst to support critical tax and compliance initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of finance, project delivery, and regulatory reporting, offering a unique opportunity to contribute to high-impact filings and audit-ready documentation.
You will collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams to ensure financial activities are accurately captured, supported, and aligned with regulatory expectations. Your Responsibilities
You’ll review project-level financial activities and extract supporting documentation for regulatory filings
You’ll build and maintain detailed working papers that link source data to financial positions and calculations
You’ll collaborate with project teams to clarify scope, resolve gaps, and document key assumptions
You’ll design and improve workflows to streamline data collection, tracking, and reporting processes
You’ll analyze contracts and financial data to develop supportable schedules and allocations
You’ll ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain audit-ready documentation under tight timelines
Skills and Qualifications
5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, tax, or compliance-focused roles
CPA designation (completed or in progress) or equivalent advanced financial training such as MBA or AFOA
Strong knowledge of tax accounting principles and regulatory interpretation
Advanced analytical skills with experience building reconciliations and financial models
Proven ability to manage documentation with accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders across all levels
Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Power BI, SharePoint, and enterprise platforms
