The scope of work entails providing project management to assigned projects. This includes (but not limited to):
Manage EPC projects from inception through closeout.Manage project cost and scheduleManage/administer EPC contractsReview invoices and track purchase orders as per approved budgetProvide Project oversight to EPC vendors to ensure projects meet requirements with respect to budget, schedule, safety, and qualityPerform any required liaising activities between our client and vendor stakeholdersManage risks and mitigation plans, maintain a risk register for assigned projectsDevelop business case summaries to request funds for assigned projectsDevelop monthly forecasts for the project life cycleFulfill Field team Lead and Mod Team Lead role in support of executionInterface with the stationMentor and coach junior staffSupport Section Manager in administrative workQualifications
The candidate should have minimum 10 years’ experience in project management in large projects / programs with major emphasis on activities related to installation, commissioning, risk management and cost & schedule managementExperience with electrical systems and components, preferably knowledge of major manufacturers’ equipmentAbility to prepare estimates, schedules, execution plans, contracting strategies, business planning, forecastingKnowledge of ECC process would be an assetA combination of Work planning, MTL/FTL experience, project Management, Risk management skillsStrong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsA Professional Engineers of Ontario (P.Eng.) designation (or equivalent) and a Project Management Professional (PMP) would be great assets.
