Location: Whitby
Join Parkinson Canada in Whitby on September 13, 2026, for Super Walk, their largest fundraiser. Volunteer from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm and help create a supportive environment for participants.
Super Walk Event Day Volunteers play a crucial role alongside coordinators and committee members to ensure a successful event. You can expect varied tasks such as event set-up, participant registration, or providing vital support at checkpoint stations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to healthcare initiatives and engage with the community alongside friends and family.
Key Responsibilities:
• Help with the setup and dismantling of event areas
• Register participants and provide information
• Greet attendees with enthusiasm
• Assist with food services for participants
• Support cheering and encouraging Super Walkers
Requirements:
• Volunteers must be at least 12 years old
• Availability between 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm
• Friendly and approachable demeanor
• Prepared to work as part of a team
• Invite friends and family to participate in this event together
Your role supports critical advocacy and research for those with Parkinson's while fostering community.
