In this apprenticeship, you will report to the Manager of Distribution Construction and develop critical skills to become a journeyperson Meter Technician. You'll assist in installing and maintaining smart meter systems while ensuring compliance with relevant safety regulations. Your work will directly contribute to the reliable delivery of electricity to over 63,000 customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing and repairing electrical meters

• Test and maintain smart meter communication systems

• Support programming of advanced metering infrastructure

• Document meter installation and maintenance activities

• Perform regular accuracy tests under supervision

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronic Engineering preferred

• Experience in utility or technical fields considered an asset

• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

• Valid Ontario Class G license required
