Apprentice Meter Technician Power

Reporting to the Manager, Distribution Construction, this apprentice position emphasizes developing essential skills under the guidance of experienced Meter Technicians. You will assist with various tasks related to smart meter installations and revenue metering systems while adhering to strict standards from Measurement Canada and the Electrical Safety Authority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in installing and maintaining electrical metering equipment

• Support testing and commissioning of advanced metering infrastructure

• Collaborate on metering installations with contractors and teams

• Conduct accuracy tests and maintain documentation

• Attend required safety and operational training courses

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in Electrical/Electronic Technology preferred

• Previous experience in electrical utility or construction a plus

• Strong understanding of electrical systems fundamentals

• Valid Ontario Class G license with clean abstract

• Commitment to safety and teamwork
