The Town of Whitby is looking for a proactive, solutions-driven Working Foreperson to oversee stormwater facilities, roads, and sidewalks. Reporting to the Supervisor of Operations, you will play a key role in guiding frontline staff, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining operational efficiency. Your leadership will directly impact our mission to improve local community services and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain stormwater facilities, roads, and sidewalks

• Guide and train frontline staff for optimal performance

• Plan and schedule maintenance work effectively

• Inspect road and traffic operations for compliance

• Engage with the community to deliver excellent customer service

Requirements:

• Proven experience in infrastructure maintenance

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Knowledge of workplace safety regulations

• Ability to perform under pressure in winter conditions

• Valid driver’s license for operational duties
