The Administrative Assistant, Marketing will work to advance aviation and EAA by assisting the Marketing, Communities & Chapters departments with support to Air Venture Presentations and Workshops scheduling, programming and execution. Secondarily, candidate will be responsible to create a positive impression of EAA through courteous and helpful response to phone calls and greeting guests at the front desk.

POSITION ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide administrative support to Air Venture Presentations and Workshops group, including but not limited to, working with presenter submissions, scheduling presentations, entering data into Presentations Content Management System, collecting, organizing presenter submissions, corresponding with presenters via email, phone and other means, proofing Air Venture Schedule, collecting data and producing reports on AV Presentations.
  • Assist with execution of AV Presentations and Workshop programs at AV
  • Establish, organize, and maintain related records and files.
  • Professionally administer all incoming calls by directing them accordingly.
  • Greet guests in a professional, friendly manner.
  • Provide data entry support for address changes for members.
  • Resolves any issues with mail returned to EAA.
  • Type memos and correspondence as needed.
  • Provides assistance to other departments in data entry, collating materials and other projects as assigned.
  • Embraces and supports the EAA mission and performs safe practices in the workplace.
  • All other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma and at least 3-5 years of customer service and/or administrative experience
  • Ability to work independently, work under pressure of deadlines, handle multiple priorities, pay close attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to relate and communicate effectively and tactfully with fellow employees, volunteers and the public.
  • Strong written, verbal and organizational skills, excellent editing skills with respect to grammar and punctuation, and ability to arrange material into balanced and comprehensive copy.
  • Intermediate knowledge, understanding and application of computer technology and systems such as MS Office, especially MS Publisher and Excel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Typical office setting. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Preparation for Air Venture or other events may require lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally, standing and walking for extended periods of time while bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, and push and pull motions.
