Job Description

As a Manufacturing Asset Manager – Rigid Extrusion & Thermoforming, you will lead the development and execution of platform strategy across a network of manufacturing sites, technologies, and business segments.
Key Responsibilities- Platform Strategy & Transformation – develop and lead the long‑term strategy for Amcor’s rigid extrusion and thermoforming platform; identify and prioritize capability, capacity, technology, and operational investments required to support future growth.
- Growth & Business Leadership – drive profitable growth by aligning platform capabilities with customer, market, and business needs; provide strategic guidance on customer opportunities, network capacity, and manufacturing capabilities.
- Capital & Network Optimization – lead the development of business cases for major capital investments; evaluate manufacturing network capabilities, constraints, and long‑term capacity requirements; identify opportunities to improve asset utilization, operational performance, and profitability.
- Cross‑Functional Leadership – serve as the primary strategic leader for the platform; lead and influence cross‑functional teams spanning Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial organizations; align resources and priorities to execute critical initiatives.
- Strategic Communication – communicate recommendations and strategic direction to senior leadership teams; translate market trends into actionable platform strategies and investment plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Product Management, Asset Management, Supply Chain, or related disciplines.
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial technologies.
- Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to connect technical decisions to financial outcomes.
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and senior leaders.
- Strategic thinker capable of balancing long‑term vision with practical execution.
- Packaging, plastics, thermoforming, extrusion, or related manufacturing experience.
- Capital project development and investment analysis.
- Network optimization and manufacturing strategy.
- Product commercialization and technology deployment.
- Experience in multi‑site manufacturing environments.
