Asset Capacity Engineer – Reporting to Global Asset Director

Responsibilities
  • Drive year-over-year revenue and profit growth for asset categories (~$200MM – $500MM revenue) through strategic initiatives.
  • Optimize assets and technologies to deliver against annual operating plans and long-term strategic plans.
  • Aggregate opportunity pipelines by asset category and partner with supply chain to create a network view of capacity.
  • Provide long‑term forecasting for asset categories to inform market strategies, customer bid/deal strategies, and strategic capital investments.
  • Evaluate plant and asset performance against peers; build recapitalization strategies and deploy central resources to lead best‑practice teams.
  • Build a pipeline of opportunities to maximize AFNA’s best assets and present recommendations for leadership approval.
  • Provide business leadership to Manufacturing Process Improvement (MPI) and Process Development to ensure strategic alignment of prioritized projects, validating business cases for asset groups.
  • Determine asset placement in AFNA’s manufacturing network for each asset group and create business plans for substantive capital investments.
  • Participate in AFNA’s plant profit teams to lead strategies and projects that improve plant revenue or operational position.
  • Lead specification definition, standardization, and unification within the asset group to reduce operational complexity, increase speed, and enhance profitability.
  • Reduce listings of low‑volume, complex or cost‑inefficient specifications and institutionalize business rules for core specification management.
  • Develop a commercial team approach to quoting and selling standard/core specifications across market segments.
  • Provide capacity transparency for relevant asset categories and network capacity; guide commercial teams on profit impacts of customer negotiations.
  • Support targeting optimal opportunities while considering AFNA’s capability, capacity, and operational position.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and R&D to develop multi‑generation asset plans for platforms within an asset category.
  • Identify common capability, capacity, or operational constraints across AFNA; lead strategies to maximize growth and profit potential.
  • Operationalize platform introductions common to multiple business segments (e.g., sustainable platforms). Prioritize segments where necessary.
  • Lead competitive benchmarking of capability, quality, service, and cost; build generational strategies to close gaps or extend leadership in relevant asset categories.
Qualifications
  • BA (MBA preferred) in Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience in Operations, Marketing, Engineering, or R&D.
  • Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Experience in a multinational corporation (MNC), preferably in packaging or FMCG manufacturing.
  • Effective communicator with senior audiences.
  • Strong customer partnership track record.
