UWO EAA Air Venture Residence Hall Desk Assistants provide front‑line guest services by responding to questions about the campus and surrounding community, receiving guest concerns, and coordinating with appropriate departments for timely resolution. They also track guest checkouts and assist with daily key inventories.
Residence Hall Desk Assistants are expected to deliver exceptional customer service to create a welcoming and memorable lodging experience. Team members should possess strong communication and effective computer skills, work well under pressure, and be detail‑oriented; prior customer service experience is preferred.
Additionally, Residence Hall Desk Assistants may assist with preparing rosters and key packets; complete key audits before and after EAA; conduct pillow inventory; create, post, and store welcome displays, signage, and bulletin boards as needed; and learn and utilize the guest check‑in and check‑out management.
$17/hour, with overtime paid at time‑and‑a‑half for hours exceeding 40 per workweek.
Required Qualifications:- Ability to provide professional customer service
- Strong communication and effective computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, guest‑focused environment
- Prior customer service or front‑desk experience
- Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills
- Experience in housing or hospitality
