Overview

We believe tellers are Community First's essential, front-line ambassadors. As our Teller, your energy for engaging with people, ninja accuracy, and excellent organizational skills will find a great home. Our members are owners of Community First, and employees are too. You will provide WOW service while handling cash and performing a high volume of transactions that are critically important to our members.

We offer training and support to help you grow your financial services expertise in a friendly, community-centered environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional, WOW service to internal and external members
  • Receive cash and checks for deposit into members' accounts
  • Cash checks for members
  • Accept loan and credit card payments
  • Make transactions between accounts as instructed by members
  • Place proper holds on deposited items for uncollected funds following policy and procedure
  • Handle proper disbursement of cashier s checks, money orders, and gift cards
  • Identify non-negotiable and fraudulent checks to avoid losses for the member and the credit union
  • Accurately balance and close cash drawer at the end of each business day
  • Promote, cross-sell, and refer credit union products and services to fulfill member financial needs
Schedule

We are open in the drive-up from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and open in the lobby from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. On Saturdays, we are open in both the lobby and the drive-up from 8 a.m. until noon. The schedule for this position encompasses our hours of operation, including a rotating Saturday morning.

Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of cash handling experience; previous Teller experience is a plus
  • Excellent listening ability and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and web-based software packages
  • Passion for providing outstanding service to our members
  • The ability to work hard, find solutions, and have fun
