Summary
Lourdes Academy of Oshkosh Catholic School (Middle & High School campus) seeks a full-time 5th – 12th grade learning specialist to begin in the 26/27 school year. The school is committed to providing a traditional education in a faith filled environment.

Responsibilities- Communicate effectively in both oral and written format and can work collaboratively as an intervention team member.
- Develop, interpret, and evaluate IEPs, 504, and Lourdes Service Plans and accommodations for students as appropriate.
- Use evidence-based individual and group behavior management strategies/techniques.
- Use differentiated instruction across academic subject areas.
- Apply knowledge of social skills development and affective strategies.
- Use knowledge of curriculum, common core standards & essential elements.
- Understand federal and state laws related to special education.
- Integrate technology within the curriculum/instruction.
- Apply understanding of content area reading and grade level mathematics.
- Assist in student organizational skills and development of self-advocacy.
- Monitor student progress and the effects of individualized interventions through the use of objective measures of data.
- Conduct functional behavioral assessments and develop behavior plans and implement behavior interventions.
- Hold a bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college or university.
- Licensure in Special Education Cross Categorical, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, Reading/Literacy preferred.
- Licensure also preferred for educational licensure and experience at the age appropriate grade levels identified for services.
- Knowledge and experience in serving students with a variety of educational disabilities and/or at‑risk needs.
- Demonstrated ability to support, affirm, and uphold teachings of the Catholic Church.
- Passion and commitment for a faith-filled education.
- Preference may be given to candidates who are practicing Catholics.
