Summary: Lourdes Academy of Oshkosh Catholic Middle School seeks a full‑time 7 th & 8 th grade English/language arts teacher to begin in the 26/27 school year. The school is committed to partnering with parents and providing a traditional education in a faith‑filled environment.
The Lourdes Academy Language Arts Teacher will partner with parents, teachers and administration to foster and promote student learning and moral development through the Green Bay Diocesan curriculum. The Language Arts Teacher will teach English and Language Arts to 7 th and 8 th grade students, prepare them for standardized testing, develop writing and literacy skills, and integrate the Catholic faith successfully into the course curriculum.
This incumbent will have strong leadership skills, be an excellent communicator, and can motivate and inspire children in a positive manner. Preference may be given to a practicing Catholic.
Applicant must:
- Hold a bachelor's degree or better from an accredited college or university
- Have an advanced knowledge of literacy, grammar, literature and composition
- Have a passion and commitment for a faith‑filled education
- Be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing/email
- Upon employment, be able to pass criminal background checks
- Be able to support, affirm, and uphold, by word and example, the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Hold a valid Wisconsin Teacher License to teach students in the area of 6 th to 8 th grade language arts.
- Demonstrate successful working experience with middle school students
- Possess the ability to develop constructive relationships with students, staff, parents and community.
All positions are contingent upon the successful completion of diocesan background check and VIRTUS Safe Environment Awareness training.
