The Food Service Director assumes responsibility for the preparation and service of all meals within the Lourdes Academy system. This includes managing the day to day operations of the school food service.
DutiesDuties of the Food Service Director include sanitation, food safety, nutrition and menu planning, food production, procurement, financial management, recordkeeping, program accountability, marketing, customer services, and personnel management.
Qualifications Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 1 year relevant food service experience
- Food commodity and high volume ordering experience
- Quality food volume preparation experience
- Exhibit a personality that demonstrates interpersonal skills to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and the community
- Strong communication, leadership and team building skills required
- Mobile and have lifting capacity of 50 pounds
- Commitment to the highest standards of customer service
- Ability and willingness to work effectively with others to promote teamwork and the values of Lourdes Academy
- A commitment to Lourdes Academy’s mission, L.A.W. and its Catholic values are a must
