Job Duties

Reporting to the Center for Accessibility & Disability Resources Director, this position requires a team‑oriented individual who exercises discretion, independent judgment, and is responsible for taking initiative in achieving the goals of the Center for Accessibility & Disability Resources, with a focus on the supplemental services of the Project Success program. This position oversees several key administrative and programmatic functions including assessing support needs of students, training student mentors to facilitate support, and assisting the CADR with compliance‑based needs, campus support, and professional collaborations.

Key Job Responsibilities Organization and Supervision of Program Student Workers (30%)
  • Recruit and retain Project Success mentors and CADR student employees
  • Orient student employees and mentors, providing training for CADR procedures, office operations, and information confidentiality
  • Develop and maintain a Project Success student mentor training system and orientation materials
  • Supervise student employees and mentors, including scheduling and evaluating staffing needs.
  • Supervise and collaborate with program Graduate Assistants, as applicable
  • Maintain appropriate hiring and renewal paperwork for student employees and mentors, following UW Oshkosh procedures.
  • Oversee student employee and mentor mandatory training to ensure compliance
ADA Accommodations & Compliance (20%)
  • Assist with maintaining and updating the disability services database
  • Review and assist disability service advisors with consultations for student accommodation requests
  • Participate in regular CADR accommodation consultation meetings for complex or unique accommodation requests
  • Assess CADR technology and resource needs, assisting the Director with procurement as appropriate
  • Serve on committees and work groups to share a disability services and student accommodation compliance perspective
  • Create and maintain accurate case notes for student meetings and requests
  • Remain current with all relevant institutional, system, and federal policies for student accommodation and compliance
Campus Support & Training (5%)
  • Collaborate with the CADR Director and Disability Services Advisors to create and/or update campus support and training resources
  • Host workshops, student panels, and attend campus engagement opportunities
  • Serve as the primary contact for UWO Graduate programs and the Honors College for accessibility support and communication
Oversee the Project Success Supplemental Support Program (40%)
  • Recruit and train student mentors to provide organizational tutoring services
  • Evaluate consistency and impact of program services, collecting and sharing outcome data as appropriate
  • Attend transition and recruitment events to promote the Project Success program in collaboration with the UWO Admissions Office
  • Facilitate prospective student and family meetings and attend on‑campus recruitment events to share Project Success information, along with CADR resources.
Other Duties as Assigned by the CADR Director (5%)

Compensation

Starting at $46,200 commensurate with experience

Required Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working with students in an educational, advising, or support services setting.
  • Knowledge of federal regulations related to disability services in higher education, including ADA, Section 504, and FERPA.
  • Experience coordinating student support services, accommodations, or case management.
  • Experience recruiting, training, and/or supervising student employees, mentors, or peer educators.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities, maintain accurate records, and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and uphold student confidentiality and privacy.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with students, faculty, staff, and campus partners.
  • Ability to assess student needs and connect individuals to appropriate resources and services.
