Job Duties:Join the READY RURAL team and play a key leadership role in advancing innovative, simulation-based healthcare education that prepares learners for today's evolving workforce. The Assistant Director of Simulation provides leadership for simulation strategy,academic assessment, technology integration, faculty development,and competency-based evaluation across READY RURAL's simulation and Virtual Care-enabled learning environments.
In this collaborative leadership role, you will work closely with faculty, healthcare partners, and campus stakeholders to ensuresimulation experiences are aligned with curricular outcomes,professional competencies, accreditation standards, workforceneeds, and grant objectives. You will help shape and coordinatesimulation initiatives, oversee assessment and quality assurance processes, support technology-enabled learning, and provide consultation and professional development that promotes excellence in simulation-based education.
The Assistant Director will coordinate simulation operations,including lab and Virtual Care scheduling, equipment readiness, and technology integration, while supporting innovative teaching,competency tracking, learner assessment, and outcomes reporting.
This position also plays a vital role in collecting and analyzing data for grant reporting, accreditation, continuous quality improvement, and workforce readiness initiatives.

This position is funded through the READY RURAL grant and is initially offered as a one-year fixed-term appointment. Opportunity for renewal past the initial year is possible depending on grant funding and satisfactory performance.
KeyJob Responsibilities:
- Plans, executes, and evaluates data collection initiatives, and maintains management and collection resources
- Serves as a subject matter expert and liaison to internal and external stakeholders
- Collects, prepares, and analyzes data, and prepares reports
- Continuously improves methods and processes for assessmentinstrument development
- Manages complex databases and performs analyses of large datasets
- May exercise supervisory authority, including hiring,transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, discharging, assigning, rewarding, disciplining,and/or approving hours worked of at least 2.0 FTE or equivalentemployees
- Provides operational guidance on the implementation of new orrevised institutional operational policies and procedures for learning and programmatic assessment
College of Nursing, Health Professions and STEM
Compensation:Starting at $85,000 commensurate with experience
Required Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Education, Assessment,Curriculum and Instruction, Instructional Technology, Health Sciences, Nursing, Public Health, or related field
