Job Summary:
- The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for driving process improvement initiatives across the value chain, developing and enhancing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, supporting New Product Introductions (NPI), and collaborating with manufacturing teams to implement efficient and cost-effective production methods.
- Coordinate successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations.
- Contribute to facility transformation, technology transfer, and maintenance of mixed model lines or value streams.
- Implement policies, procedures, and process documentation to support process improvement initiatives.
- Apply demand-driven principles and strategies supporting operational excellence and long-term plans.
- Ensure product, material, and information flow is synchronized for maximum efficiency and lowest operational cost.
- Develop innovative ideas to improve business results.
- Deploy standard tools, methodologies, standards, practices, and processes.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to achieve customer satisfaction and fulfillment goals.
- Collaborate with shop floor personnel to improve manufacturing methods, systems, and controls.
- Handle area layouts, process definition, PLC programming, and design/selection, justification, and implementation of equipment, programs, and tooling.
- Work in both high-mix low-volume and high-volume low-mix production environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve desired results and manage shifting deadlines in fast-paced environments.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology.
- 3 5 years of related engineering experience in a similar environment.
- Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, Solid Works, or ProE.
- Knowledge of lean principles and process improvement methods.
- Manufacturing engineering experience.
- Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, conflict resolution, and project leadership skills.
- Experience with PLC and NPI processes.
