Our client, a global industrial leader in vehicle and equipment manufacturing, is seeking a Project Engineer to join their innovative team. In this role, you will help drive engineering projects from initial concept through full production. The position combines hands-on technical work, cross-functional coordination, and project oversight to ensure products meet critical performance, quality, and safety expectations while supporting customer and business objectives.

Work model:
  • On-Site
  • 7:00AM - 4:00PM
  • Monday - Friday
What you will do:
  • Lead an engineering team of engineers, designers, and technicians
  • Guide and develop team members through ongoing feedback, training opportunities, and individualized development plans
  • Oversee department budget, project operating costs, and budget request preparation
  • Analyze market share and P&L for the product line to strengthen business acumen
  • Partner with internal and external customers across segments and functions to build strong relationships
  • Present and justify technical engineering decisions to Engineering leadership and external customers
  • Deliver projects of moderate complexity on schedule
  • Execute advanced engineering calculations, investigations, and assignments aligned with industry standards
  • Produce plans, designs, calculation methods, and technical reports
  • Advance and refine standard engineering methodologies and procedures
  • Contribute to the budgeting process by recommending capital improvements and preparing supporting data
  • Maintain clear communication with suppliers, customers, and external resources on technical matters
  • Convey project goals and expectations to team members
  • Uphold proper engineering criteria and drawing standards
  • Ensure technical activities comply with company policies and procedures
  • Review designs for performance, safety, and reliability
What you will need to be successful:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of related experience
  • Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive or heavy-vehicle equipment and related systems
  • Experience with a high-level CAD system
