Systems Engineer
Overview

The Systems Engineer will participate in engineering activities to ensure successful product development, timely execution of programs, and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Draft, review, and release requirements specification documents, including defining the requirements and verification baseline.
- Support requirements, design, and verification team projects and coordinate regularly with key partners to maintain program objectives.
- Lead the creation of user need requirements and decompose them into system and subsystem requirements.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with multiple disciplines to identify new, obsolete or adjusted regulatory standards (e.g., FDA or IEC).
- Review and approve system and subsystem requirement documents to ensure user needs are properly decomposed and intent is met.
- Ensure logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions.
- Establish system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning.
- Use communication skills to work across the organization and customer/user community to ensure consensus and understanding of requirements and solutions.
- Be responsible for the completion of a project or part of a project of moderate complexity on time; may manage overall project schedule and budget.
- Manage multiple priorities and coordinate with internal and external project teams on advanced control development from concept through production.
- Author requirements documentation in tools such as Magic Draw and Jama and coordinate release through the approval/review process.
- Establish and manage requirements traceability and compliance.
- Prepare system engineering program and design review process (SRR, PDR, CDR, FRR, etc.).
- Build consensus, manage change, and convey progress to Senior Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Accredited bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with internship experience or six (6) or more months of related work experience.
- Accredited bachelor’s degree in systems engineering or comparable.
- Familiarity with tools such as Magic Draw, Jama Connect or similar for requirements management.
- Experience with SysML or UML modeling languages for model‑based systems engineering (MBSE).
- Experience with larger OEM processes and procedures.
- Internal contacts:

Limited external contact to gather information, answer queries or ask for assistance. - Communication skills:
Read, write and comprehend instructions and reports; interpret regulations and technical materials. - Decision‑making:

Instruct, schedule, and review work of others; act as a lead worker.
Physical demands: frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, hearing, talking, typing; occasional driving, fine dexterity, manual dexterity, upper‑extremity repetitive motion, lifting or carrying 25 lbs.
Non‑physical demands: analysis, reasoning, communication, math, reading, sustained mental activity, writing.
Environmental demands: work alone, frequent task changes, tedious work, occasional high‑volume public contact; routine shift hours with occasional overtime, weekend, or shift rotation.
