Job Description:

We’re looking for a civil engineer with 3–6 years of site design or land development experience who’s ready to step into real project leadership. You’ll manage commercial development projects end-to-end, owning client relationships, coordinating internal teams, and driving projects from kickoff through construction support. Structured PE mentorship and a clear growth path are included.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead commercial site development projects including timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Serve as primary client contact for technical discussions and progress updates
  • Coordinate drafters and junior engineers; review deliverables for consistency and quality
  • Oversee site layout, grading, drainage, and utility design
  • Prepare and review stormwater calculations and detention sizing
  • Lead permitting efforts with municipal, county, and state agencies (including TCEQ)
  • Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and support construction administration

    Manage project documentation including design decisions and submittal packages
  • Support proposals and business development efforts
  • Mentor junior team members in technical skills and project coordination

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • EIT certification (PE license preferred)
  • 3–6 years of civil site design or land development experience
  • Demonstrated project coordination or management experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D (grading, pipe networks, surfaces)
  • Experience with stormwater calculations and detention basin sizing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for client interaction
  • Self-starter comfortable working independently in a remote environment
  • Texas-based candidates only

Preferred:

  • PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Experience with Hydro

    CAD, Storm

    CAD, or AutoCAD SSA
  • Familiarity with Texas development codes and TCEQ regulations
  • Experience coordinating with surveyors, geotechnical engineers, and contractors

Reports to: Senior Professional Engineer

Expected Salary: $90,000 – $135,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
