Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a leading defense and heavy-duty vehicle manufacturer. This engineer will help support the design, development, and integration of high-voltage electrical systems used in advanced vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate will have foundational electrical engineering knowledge and an interest in emerging technologies such as electrification, battery systems, power electronics, and vehicle controls. This position offers hands‑on exposure to vehicle development, manufacturing support, and cutting‑edge electrification initiatives while working alongside experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
Must-Haves:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
- Internship experience OR 6+ months of related engineering experience
- Basic electrical engineering fundamentals
- Ability to perform engineering calculations and analysis
- Experience supporting engineering documentation and design changes
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- High-voltage vehicle systems experience
- Familiarity with programming languages and controls software
- SAE J1939 protocol knowledge
- Automotive High Voltage certifications or training
- Energy Storage Systems (ESS/Battery Systems) exposure
- Electrification or EV vehicle experience
- Heavy-duty vehicle, automotive, off-highway, or defense vehicle experience
- Support the design and development of high-voltage electrical systems for heavy-duty vehicles
- Perform engineering calculations, investigations, and technical analysis
- Assist senior engineers with electrical system and subsystem designs
- Develop and maintain electrical component specifications and documentation
- Support prototype, pilot, and production vehicle builds
- Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing and production issues
- Process engineering changes through change notices and proposals
- Create and maintain engineering documentation and print packages
